It’s Official — I’ve Signed a Two-Book Contract!

Four years ago, I woke abruptly before dawn with a Scripture blaring in my brain.

Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again. (Ecclesiastes 11:1 NIV)

The verse was so unmistakable that I dragged myself out of bed and wrote it on an index card — a card that I have to this day. I knew it had to do with my writing journey. At the time, I was in a funk. I did not have an agent, an interested publisher, or much of a clue as to where this would take me. Well, after many rejections, much over-thinking, and a lot of hard work, that bread has finally returned.

I’m blessed to announce that  Strang Publications has contracted me for two novels, specifically for their Realms division, with the first book tentatively scheduled for Spring 2011. Many thank you’s are in order but that will have to wait until I run laps through my house and enjoy an order of chili cheese fries and a pastrami dip from The Hat. (Okay, maybe I should do the laps after the meal.) Anyway, did I say I’m, blessed?
